SCOPE: Design, Fabrication, and Installation

OVERVIEW: During construction of their new facility at the Kentucky Horse Park the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) contacted NOMI Design to design, fabricate, and install a custom installation for their lobby that would not only display awards, memorabilia, Olympic apparel and equestrian artifacts but that would tell the story of their organization. Working together with USEF, we developed a custom, interactive display wall comprised of adaptable LED lighting, digital tablets and screens, print media, as well as custom shelving, hooks, and holders to impactfully showcase equestrian equipment. We even customized mannequins to display authentic Olympic uniforms and apparel.

Heavily influenced by equine movements and forms our design of the dynamic display wall creates a sense of rhythmic movement that references the natural gaits of a horse while the organic shape of the reception desk evokes the contours of the equine body.
